Controlled Throwing of Dice

A lot of people remarked that controlled shooting at craps tables in a casino is possible. A number of experts who once believed that it is not possible to control dice are now taking their words back. Players are also left wondering if dice control is really possible at a craps table.

Perhaps part of the confusion on the validity of the theory is the fact that the use of “dice control” is quite confusing in itself. This is because it is simply not possible to control the result of the dice in every throw.

The idea behind controlled throwing of a dice starts on the way a dice is gripped. The player then throws them the same way every time. This is the theory behind “controlled throw”. The purpose of the controlled throw is to minimise the randomness of the outcome on each throw of the dice.

It is not unusual for crap players to witness hot rolls made by a shooter. Some shooters perfected a rhythm of throwing the dice in a certain way which led to wonderful results. In order to achieve rhythm throwing, you either practise this consciously or unconsciously, whichever way is the best for you.

How to Roll Consistently

In order to roll consistently one must consider several important compositions of a throw. First is the set. The set of the dice can affect the result of the throw. One of famous set is the 3-V. So-called because the threes form the “V” word.

One can see the hard six composed of 3+3 on top of the dice, the six comprised of 5 and 1 on the front eight composed of 6+2 on the back and the hard eight made up of 4+4 on the bottom of the dice.

Once the dice is set in this V formation, then throw the dice in such a way as it reaches the end of the table but do not use too much force that it will bounce on the table. Practise throwing the dice the same way every time until you get the combination you want. The goal should be to throw numbers but do not get a seven. If you throw in the same way, there is a greater chance that you will get the same number each time.

Did you know that …

... the first mechanical slot machine was the Liberty Bell, invented in 1895 by car mechanic, Charles Fey (1862-1944) of San Francisco?

The Liberty Bell slot machine had three spinning reels. Diamond, spade, and heart symbols were painted around each reel, plus the image of a cracked Liberty Bell. A spin resulting in three Liberty Bells in a row gave the biggest payoff, a grand total of fifty cents or ten nickels.

The original Liberty Bell slot machine can still be seen at the Liberty Belle Saloon & Restaurant in Reno, Nevada.
