We are used to storms or thunders but this story belongs to a human thunder from the world of Poker. Eager to know the name, yes he is Daniel Negreanu, the champion of World Poker Finals (Limit Hold’em) with prize money of $38,400, in the year 1997, 9th December. After he finished in two first places at the 1997 World Poker finals at Fox woods, he never looked back. He possesses three World Series of Poker bracelets, two World Poker Tour titles, and more than thirty victories in tournaments across the world. In his early life he had an uncanny knack for gambling and especially, poker.

At the age of 21 Daniel Negreanu dropped out of college, just a credit shy of graduation, and moved to Las Vegas to drown into poker full-time. This poker player has acted as a tutor for upcoming players at Poker School Online. He has written more than hundred articles on the sport. He has even contributed to Doyle Brunson’s ‘Super System II’. At first when he dropped out of his high school he started his life as a rounder, playing at the local charity casinos. At that time he only looked for illegal games around the city.

After he built up his bankroll, he left for Las Vegas to be a Professional Poker Player. But he had to move back to Toronto as ‘The Strip’ got better of him and he had to rebuild his bankroll. His parent’s, Annie and Constantine moved from Romania to Canada in 1967. His luck changed after he got the victory in 1997 with an earning of $133,600. He was named the tournament’s best all-rounder. He became the youngest WSOP bracelet winner in the 1998 by winning $169,460 at the $2,000 Pot Limit Hold’em event in World Series of Poker. By this he held a record until 2004.

In the next few years Daniel Negreanu became one of the most successful Poker Players, in history. He got the title World Series of Poker player in 2004 and World Poker tour player in 2005. He was recruited as the ‘Poker Ambassador’ by Wynn Las Vegas resort, to play any stake in their poker room. It lasted still October 2005 as it became a restriction to his ability to play for high stakes outside the Wynn. This poker player started his own online poker card room in December 2005. It includes his blog and variety of poker forums. He was being a regular at the big game in Bobby’s Room. It is in the Bellagio casino, Las Vegas.

This poker player always seeks for new challenges and sets high goals for himself. The most interesting thing is that he sets his targets also in golf course. Daniel Negreanu is a very outspoken person about the game results, and he posts updates in the forums at the Full Contract Poker website in a regular basis. He married Lori Lin Weber on 19th August, 2005. He stays in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is fond of music like ocean waves. As per this poker player he pans on headphones as it helps him to relax so that he can win. Daniel Negreanu’s secret is, he observes what hands his opponents play and how capable they are of playing, the reason why he became the thunder.
