If you want to learn all the Texas Hold Em Poker rules you should focus on practice. Read this article to discover the quickest way now.

Texas Hold Em Poker is an incredible game that requires no special skills to play and will help you to relax at any time. But to start to play it, you must first be familiar with the Texas Hold Em Poker Rules. They include several key elements that I will explain below.

The Button And The Blinds

We will start with the meaning of the Blinds. In the Texas Hold Em there is the so-called “button” or “dealer button” that shows which player is a formal dealer in the current game.

Before the game, the player after the dealer makes “small blind”, which is the first mandatory bet. The player after the small blind makes “big blind”, which means to increase twice the small blind. The big blind too is a mandatory bet.

Blinds may vary depending on the stakes and betting structure that is used. Then each player receives two hole cards that only he sees. Betting continues in a clockwise direction starting from the player after the big blind.

Betting And Other Actions

Betting opportunities to the players in the Texas Hold Em are the same as the other forms of poker. The actions that can make each player are ‘fold’, ‘check’, ‘bet’, ‘call’ or ‘raise’. But which ones are available will depend on the action of the previous players.

Each poker player always has the ability to ‘fold’, or give up. If still no one has bet, then the player can check (do not bet, but retain his cards) or he can bet. If someone has already bet, then subsequent players can call or raise that bet.

Did you know that …

... the first mechanical slot machine was the Liberty Bell, invented in 1895 by car mechanic, Charles Fey (1862-1944) of San Francisco?

The Liberty Bell slot machine had three spinning reels. Diamond, spade, and heart symbols were painted around each reel, plus the image of a cracked Liberty Bell. A spin resulting in three Liberty Bells in a row gave the biggest payoff, a grand total of fifty cents or ten nickels.

The original Liberty Bell slot machine can still be seen at the Liberty Belle Saloon & Restaurant in Reno, Nevada.
