You need to know these Texas Holdem Poker rules for winning so that you can successfully navigate the game and make money being a poker player.

The entire world today seems to be playing Texas Holdem. So why are you left behind? Here are the rules for the most popular form of poker today so that you don’t miss the bus.

The game starts with the dealing of cards. At the start, two cards are dealt with their face down to every player.

Then five community cards are placed on the board with their face upwards out of which the first three cards are on the flop, the fourth card is on the turn and the fifth card is on the river.

A betting round is what follows the dealing round and the best combination of five cards emerges as the winner of the pot.

Blinds are posted at the start of every new game and the first player seated to the left of the dealer has to post the small blind which is a half bet after which the next player posts the big blind or the one bet.

Consequently, each player is dealt two private cards with their face down. The first player sitting next to the big blind speaks first with options of a call, a raise, or a fold. The big blind speaks in the end of this betting round and can check, call, raise, or fold.

The three community cards are turned face up on the board, on the flop. After this, in every following betting round, the first active player to the left of the dealer will speak first. Then the fourth card is dealt face up to the board and followed by a new betting round where the size of the bets has to be doubled.

The last card is also dealt face up to the board which indicates the last betting round. Ultimately the best hand will win even if there are several players are left in the pot which would lead to a showdown.

Now, these are the fundamental Texas Holdem Poker rules for winning Holdem. You must follow all of these if you are ever going to do well in poker. The thing is, there is a lot more to poker.

I am sure you aware that if you really want to make money playing Holdem you need to learn the tactics and strategies that make the money. Well, the best way to do that is to find some Texas Hold Em Poker tips and read them. Soon, you will be a master poker player.

Did you know that …

... the first mechanical slot machine was the Liberty Bell, invented in 1895 by car mechanic, Charles Fey (1862-1944) of San Francisco?

The Liberty Bell slot machine had three spinning reels. Diamond, spade, and heart symbols were painted around each reel, plus the image of a cracked Liberty Bell. A spin resulting in three Liberty Bells in a row gave the biggest payoff, a grand total of fifty cents or ten nickels.

The original Liberty Bell slot machine can still be seen at the Liberty Belle Saloon & Restaurant in Reno, Nevada.
